This guide publishes United States dollar values for regular-strike coins of Australia, Canada and Mexico at every grade on the Sheldon 1 to 70 scale. It is a reference, not an offer to buy or sell.
The grading scale
Grades follow the 1 to 70 scale introduced by Dr. William H. Sheldon in 1949 and now used across the coin hobby. A 1 is barely identifiable and a 70 is a flawless coin. The guide groups the scale into three bands:
- Circulated (1 to 45). Coins that show wear from use, from Poor through Extremely Fine.
- About Uncirculated (50 to 58). Nearly new coins with only light friction on the high points.
- Mint State (60 to 70). Coins that never circulated.
A plus grade, such as MS65+, marks a coin at the top of its grade.
Copper colours
Copper coins are listed by colour: Brown (BN), Red-Brown (RB) and Red (RD). Coins that keep more of their original red colour are scarcer, so each colour has its own values.

- Priced. Guide values are published for the grades shown.
- Not yet priced. The coin is listed, and values will be added in a future update.
- Under review. Values for this coin are being checked and will be published in a future update.
